I use real animals as sculptural material, and explore and preserve the physical remains of the life cycle. The bird is dipped in porcelain, fired in the kiln and finally broken, exposing the inside which would not otherwise be visible. Skeletal fragments from the deconstructed bird create a temporary state of grace. mp;nbsp;An intricate network of hidden forms are exposed, and the extreme fragility of these tiny fragments blurs the distinction between what is the object and what is dust.
