I use real animals as sculptural material, and explore and preserve the physical remains of the life cycle. The bird is dipped in porcelain, fired in the kiln and finally broken, exposing the inside which would not otherwise be visible. Skeletal fragments from the deconstructed bird create a temporary state of grace.
